🏛️ Historical Background — The Real M3 “Grease Gun”

The airsoft replica is based on the M3 Submachine Gun, introduced by the U.S. Army in 1942 as a cheaper, simpler alternative to the Thompson.

Why it was called the “Grease Gun”

Its stamped‑steel construction and tubular shape resembled a mechanic’s workshop grease gun — a nickname that stuck instantly. The M3 was never glamorous — but it was tough, cheap, and reliable. This replica preserves that same rugged charm while giving players modern internals and dependable performance.
