Built around a PLA polymer body reinforced for impact dissipation, the Turtle Shell uses a steel spring and bolt mechanism to deliver a loud report without concussive force — making it safe for enclosed CQB environments.

The grenade features a bespoke oversized thread pattern on the screw‑cap, reducing the number of twists needed to arm or reload while lowering the chance of part failure. A unique self‑aligning cap ring disk, powered by embedded magnets, ensures the cap ring automatically seats correctly every time and eliminates unwanted rattle during stealthy movement.

Weighing only 100 grams when armed, the Turtle Shell is significantly lighter than many aluminium grenades, allowing players to carry multiple units without adding bulk to their loadout. The spring‑and‑hammer assembly activates upon impact: once the pin is pulled and the grenade is thrown, the hammer strikes the cap ring disk to produce a 120 dB bang. With interchangeable cap rings and a fast reload process, players can deploy the Turtle Shell repeatedly to clear rooms, objectives or tight corners.
